This is part 1 in a series of videos we will be posting about the design, fabrication and installation of a new stained-glass window for Trinity on the Green, New Haven, CT.
Our directive was to design a new stained-glass window that would capture the feelings of the great cathedral stained glass windows
found throughout Europe, between the 12th -16th century.
The two primary colors are to be cobalt blue and ruby red.
Secondary colors will be gold, cream/ivory, light green, and beige.
The window will be based on Psalm 150
“Praise him with stringed instruments.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
The overall size of the window is 6' wide, divided into two lancets, each being 3' wide x 25' tall.
Using the techniques of traditional stained-glass studios,
our intent is to create a long-lasting work of art,
to be enjoyed for generations to come.
