In this video, we explore a new feature introduced in the latest builds of batocera 43: PlayStation 3 ISO support with RPCS3.

Thanks to a recent update of the RPCS3 emulator, it is now possible to boot PS3 games directly from ISO images. This makes managing your game library much easier compared to extracted game folders.

However, there is one important detail: RPCS3 only works with decrypted ISO images. Most PlayStation 3 disc dumps, especially those following the Redump standard, are encrypted by default.

In this tutorial, I will show you:
• How PS3 ISO support works on batocera
• Why Redump ISO images need to be decrypted
• How to use a simple tool directly on batocera to decrypt your PS3 ISO images
