Sequel to Ridge Racer on the PlayStation, developed and released by Namco in 1996. This longplay was not published on the longplays channel as an adequate playthrough already existed there.
After the success of the Original ridge racer arcade port as a launch game on the PS1, it didn't take long to get to work an a new release. Because it differs to the arcade version of ridge racer 2, they have it a different name, revolution. The game does retain the soundtrack from the arcade Ridge Racer 2 however. The game also includes new courses, rear view mirror and a day/night cycle amongst many other things.
In the longplay I show unlocking an extended range of cars by completing the galaga minigame. Showing both endings by completing all courses in Normal and extra modes. I unlock some extra cars by beating them in time trial mode before finally showing some hidden modes for the fun of it. Replays are sometimes included.. just coz.
