Modeling of the fictional 4-pounder, 7.85 cm Prussian C/44 Field Gun for MBG.
This model was designed in the 1/48 scale and made in Blender 4.5.2. Total modeling time came in at 39 hours and 21 minutes.

A personal pet project of Frederich and Alfred Krupp, the C/44 was the first in a long series of rifled steel-barreled breech-loading Krupp Guns. It was highly experimental for the time, having only eight pieces assembled by the outbreak of the Insecto-Prussian War.
The gun's relatively low weight and high accuracy made it ideal for Prussia's horse artillery detachments, replacing the smoothbore 6-pounder cannons used previously. All four gunners were mounted on horseback, eliminating the need for axle seats seen on heavier artillery pieces. It fired a 4-pound, 7.85cm shell, and could be loaded with shrapnel or canister shot if necessary.
Like the previous C/41, the C/44's naming scheme is based on its year of design. The number indicates the year (1844), while the "C" stands for "Construktionjahr," meaning "Year of Construction" in German.
