I know this is a bit random for my channel. Since I have been printing a lot of things though for my astrophotography I thought I would share and upgrade I made on my printer. This Y axis upgrade replaces the factory bearings and also changes out the heavy aluminum undercarriage for a much light carbon fiber one. I did have a worth while improvement in print and quality of my prints.
The Y garage upgrade is made by a company in California called New Bee Drone. Here is a link: newbeedrone.com/products/newbeedrone-prusa-mk3s-print-bed-mount-quad-bearing-upgrade-kit
That link is non affiliate so I do not make any money on it. I just personally found that it was a worth while upgrade especially since I can now print a lot faster.
I am going to see if I can sell the old Prusa Bed Mount for my Mk3s and I think after that some of the costs will be offset. Even then though it seams like a worth while update. Modding printers is rather addicting what can I say.
Now if only I could get the MMU2 to run reliably. Seams like there is universal distain for that thing and I suspect its the drivers that are really at fault. Prusa needs to do a rewrite on them.
