Title: The beauty and unexpected features of embryonic cell division

At OIST, we have established a medaka fish facility and conducted research on the intracellular dynamics and mechanisms of embryonic cell division using medaka fertilized eggs. We found that early embryonic division exhibits numerous beautiful yet unexpected features that differ from those of somatic cell division. In this Provost Lecture, I would like to share our findings and future direction with the OIST community. We look forward to hearing your feedback to further advance our unit research.
