Provident Metals released a new silver round. These rounds are inspired by the Texas half dollars from 1934-1938. The obverse depicts Nike, the Greek goddess of victory. Nike is flanked by portraits of Sam Houston and Steve Austin, the Founding Fathers of Texas. The reverse depicts an eagle superimposed over a lone star. A Texas half dollar from 1934-1938 would retail for $160. In contrast, Provident Metal's replica rounds are sold as bullion.
