Joseph Szimhart | Proverbs 12:1 and cult leaders as braggart-dimwits. @josephszimhart9431 | Uploaded June 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid. (Proverbs 12:1, New International Version of the Bible)
Grandiose cult leaders tend to hate correction. That dim witted side is overshadowed by the braggart side that devoted followers want to see and hear.
Critics are called losers, stupid, evil, etc. the latter occurs in conservative Christian homeschooling that, for example, uses a “rod” or spanking to discipline children who might question the “standards” of the ruling father. Proverbs 12:1 is weaponized in such cults reversing the noble intent of the Proverb.
