An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and that is certainly true when it comes to protecting your valuable pantry food from being destroyed in an earthquake. In this video, I share the tool that I invented to achieve exactly this goal - protecting food from falling off the shelves during an earthquake. This item is my personal design and what I have decided to use for my personal pantry, but it is untested and I cannot guarantee that it is 100% effective in all circumstances. In fact, if an earthquake is severe enough, I can guarantee that this clip would NOT be enough. But it's simple to add on, and will offer some protection for earthquakes below the threshold at which it would fail.
