These are texts that are part of the liturgy for funerals and should not be omitted. Your choice is to have them sung in English or in Latin.

The antiphon may be lengthened by singing verses in between repetitions of the antiphon (you can hear this with the first, or entrance, antiphon on the recording), or the antiphon may be sung briefly without verses and then followed by a different musical piece.
