After Thoughts about the Video: This is my favorite Dryer to Heater to date. If your looking for a dryer you can't be too picky but manual controls are the way to go. This is a GE from 1996.
SAFETY
A forced air flame produces zero carbon monoxide because it provides plenty of oxygen for a complete burn. You only get carbon monoxide when you have an incomplete burn. Things like engines are designed to be run a little bit on the rich side to run cooler and therefore create enormous amounts of carbon monoxide. A flame from a stove can only pull in so much oxygen by itself and therefore never completely burns. Dryers are generally vented outdoors for two reasons: One is the moisture that is created and dumped into the home is not desirable ( Note that the majority of dryers made are electric and are vented outdoors), second as a quadruple safety measure in case at least 3 other measures fail it prevents CO from being dumped into the home.
Propane/lpg unvented ( vent free) heaters/fireplaces are considered safe for indoor/home use up to 40,000btu. This dryer is roughly half the legal limit (22,000btu). This is because they consume oxygen and could create a low oxygen environment. This is nearly impossible at under 40,000btu, hence the limit. You would have to be in a completely sealed 10x10 room and not open it for a couple days straight. If they did consume all the oxygen then they would start to emit CO. So if you're a boy in a bubble, don't use this.
Now you will think about the stories if guys dying in the cab of their truck while running a propane heater. Vehicles are very well sealed and essentially a 5x5x5 cube(117cu ft crew cab). It doesn't take long to consume the oxygen in such a confined space. Generally, they are using catalytic heaters(4000btu +-) and those do produce a small amount of CO. Though far less than a flame from a stove. So such a small space and such a nicely sealed box can lead to disaster.
