Pro-Palestine protesters combat the Israeli propaganda of Nuseir Yassin, the self-proclaimed “Israeli-Palestinian” social media influencer known as Nas Daily, at a meet-and-greet event in Japan on October 12.

Yassin, a Palestinian-born, Israeli citizen, produces videos on social media aimed to, according to his motto, help his audiences “learn about the world in one minute.”

However, he has come under scrutiny by the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement globally for his abject silence on the ongoing Israeli genocide of Gaza.

His content, when focused on Israel and Palestine, depicts the 76-year-long ethnic cleansing of Palestinians as a “balanced struggle between two parties, which obscures Israel’s ongoing military occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians,” according to a statement sent to TRT World by the Palestinians of Japan group.

For his unwillingness to shine a light on the plight of Palestinians in Gaza over the past year, and his claims that he is an “Israeli first, Palestinian second”, he has been labeled as a “normaliser” of relations with Israel.
