The grind continues. I'm honestly shocked I haven't burned out yet considering I've beaten 5 main list levels in 31 days in the year 2024 while also dealing with school and other IRL stuff. It's been a ton of fun, though, and these experiences have made me realize how much I've missed grinding this game out even if some of the levels can suck and drive me crazy sometimes. Speaking of...
I don't even know where to start with Promethean. It's such an obscene and unfortunate case of being second-half heavy and it turns what could have been a fine level into an absolute mess of gameplay that just spits in your face. The ships make absolutely no sense, specifically the ones at 53% and 70%. Even though the 53% one ended up getting kind of consistent, in what world is building a "straight" fly in that manner considered okay LOL
The first 20% of the level ended up being quite enjoyable for a bit, in all honesty. The wave is a lot easier than it looks so it makes you feel insane at the game when you're consistent at it (which was literally every session for me). Every part after it makes you feel equally awful at the game, though, which completely mitigates it. And because of how often I was getting to the UFO at 22% (969 times to be exact), it ended up getting genuinely boring and annoying.
I'm sure if you're extremely ship-carried, this level isn't all that awful and could be knocked out quickly. In fact, that's why I even picked it up in the first place. Turns out, my experience wasn't exactly what I expected even if it was pretty normal for this level. If you're bad at ship, stay far, FAR away from it.
