When it comes to dengue, Aedes aegypti is the number 1 public enemy!

There are several mosquitoes species in Singapore, but the Aedes aegypti mosquito is the primary vector for dengue. The release of male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes specifically targets these female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes – with the aim to suppress the Aedes aegypti mosquito population and fight dengue.
