OpenTelemetry (OTel) has become the industry standard for observability. In this session, we will highlight how OTel is shaping the future of observability with architectural, protocol, and ecosystem updates aimed at handling complex cloud-native environments and cutting-edge agentic systems. We will touch upon key initiatives in OTel including GenAI observability with standardized semantic conventions and instrumentation, high cardinality support with Arrow and dynamic configurations, profiling signal support and OTel Blueprints.
