Milestone 1 Demo for the Project Erleb-AR on February 19th, 2020 in Augst Switzerland.
Before we can do outdoor augmented reality we have to create a 3D point cloud of an existing environment. In this example, we do it for the roman theater in Augst, Switzerland. The point cloud is made out of several videos with different mobile phones that should cover a wide range of illumination conditions. A good point cloud should lead to a stable augmentation of the 3D object. No marker is needed for this type of AR.
