The first song unlocked is naturally going to be one of the easiest to get perfect even on extreme.

Also, note that free play mode is purely for fun and stats. You do not unlock anything in this mode. As soon as you complete the song in live quest, the song is unlocked in free play on all difficulties. This means no more playing on normal and hard to get extreme.
