Not too bad! As you can see here, some parts of the chart are quite significantly different to the PSP version. It's overall a lot harder, but still a fairly easy 7 (as opposed to Last Night, Good Night which is a really hard 6)
Since I recently had a chance to play Project Diva Arcade, here are some videos of it! All videos were recorded at Sega GiGO Akihabara in Tokyo with the assistance of Jon - thanks!
Project Diva Arcade is similar in concept to the PSP versions, but there are a few differences that can make it a little tricky (after playing for a week or two I could only do up to 7s or so) -
1) The button layout is totally different, which is probably the toughest thing to get used to - buttons are arranged in a line (triangle, square, X, circle) instead of a diamond like on the PSP or Dual Shock 3
2) Hold notes work completely differently. In the arcade version they are marked by the word "HOLD" under the note target and have no defined endpoint. You simply hold down the note for as long as you like to get extra points (well, or until the Max Hold Bonus comes up, or there's another note on that button that you'd have to let go of the hold to hit) and you can add in extra holds that come up to get even more points.
3) The arcade version includes chords, meaning there are sections where you have to hit anywhere from two of the buttons to all four of the buttons at once. These are pretty hard to read (especially if you're still getting used to the button layout) and I still have a lot of trouble with them.
Overall though, it's pretty fun! I only wish I could have played it for longer :( And stay tuned, because my Project Diva Extend videos are coming soon!
