On Saturday, 14 September 2019, Wärtsilä volunteers organised local clean-up events in Helsinki, Finland and Hamburg, Germany. Bringing together tens of volunteers, the events managed to collect over 700kg of debris from the waters while increasing awareness of the growing need for ocean protection. Project AWARE works with scuba divers across the globe to protect underwater environments.
