Shine Squad Member, Andrew Maness, restores this 1968 Ford F100 to road-ready condition after it's long journey from its original owner's farm in Georgia to The Motoring Club in Los Angeles, California.
Andrew came across this find at a Ford collector in Huntington Beach and we knew this was the ride for us. Originally, the F100 was a “3 on the tree” manual transmission truck with the 300ci inline-6 motor and a floor shift automatic.
The truck was brought to Gabe at Gold Ghost Vintage Works to convert it to a column shift automatic and give the 302 “Windsor” V8 a tune-up that included a new carb and air cleaner.
Next, we added a new radiator and hoses, new springs, front disc brakes, master cylinders and lines, a new dash, steering wheel and a new floor pan.
It was no small project, but now, the F100 is ready for some pleasure rides and cruising around town.
