In this video I show you how the 10 fountain pens and inks I'm writing letters with for August are doing ... we look at the report card, writing samples, ink tiles and a comparison panel for Montegrappa Fuchsia. I had a surprise "new pen day" last week and so I show you that new pen (special thanks to pen friend LV). Also, we look closely at how the Hobinichi notebook (special thanks to pen friend RL) is doing compared with the past 3 Tomoe River 68 gsm notebooks (Bond Travel Gear) that I was in before this. I think you'll be surprised how well the paper is doing!
In off topics this week, I explore the phenomenal effects (for Mom and for me) that music is having ... as Mom says it's "music therapy" and I begin to talk about choosing a music journal. And sputter about never having learned to read music.
Most off topic subjects these days go straight to Substack along with any unboxings or new things that come into my pen/ink world. I'm reserving the channel for Chris' Inked Pens, Progress Reports and Reviews mainly. We'll see how it all works out but I can definitely say that I've hung up my political writing because I need to keep my mental health intact.
