In this video I show you how things are going with the fountain pens and inks I'm writing with in January. We review the report card and look at a few ink journal entries. Most of my "progress" has been in beginning to really catch up on pen pal letters so it's basically "invisible" lol. But I do show you how I rate the 9 pens I'm primarily writing with and we also look at 2 very nice blue inks I'm exploring: Hongdian Peacock Blue and Pilot Iroshizuku Rikka (a new Pilot ink). Also, I had fun trying the Moonman Mini with Pilot Parallel nib hack that I saw @seemownay show on her video:

The nib hack has been so much fun!!!!!! I've got several other ideas too!
I also show you inside my Diamine Inkvent 2024 (samples from pen friend Cathie) ink journal -- where I am significantly behind due to my fascination with the two blue inks I talked about AND 17 new Tom's Studio ink samples from pen friend AW and CS. I am having so much fun exploring all these ink samples but I have to say = I'm set for the year with ink (and beyond). Hopefully as I catch up on pen pal letters there will be lots more time for daily ink experiments.

5. Kaweco Brass Sport BB with Sailor 50 States Texas (pen was purchased anonymous gift card for Appelboom)
6. Opus 88 Demonstrator B Stilo & Stile Exclusive with Pilot Iroshizuku Syo-ro
7. Nemosine Singularity Coral B with J Herbin Eclat de Saphir (pen was gift from anonymous pen friend/viewer - ink from pen friend BH).
8. Benu Euphoria Pink Champagne (Goldspot Exclu) B with Van Dieman's Auora Australis (Pen was purchased with channel ad $ and the ink was a gift from pen friend JD.)
9. Moonman Mini Clear with Pilot Parallel nib 3.0 -- hack learned from @seemownay
ink is: Noodler's Cactus Fruit Eel.
Thank you so much for watching. I hope to be a bit more organized soon and I'm grateful that I'm mostly all better from Covid. It has been a very busy time learning a new computer operating system, supporting my Mom and working with her care team, and navigating a weird South Texas winter that is swinging back and forth between hot and Arctic. I guess that's not so weird but it is a challenge.
