Most people can't remember what they wanted to be when they were children. Charletta Ayers, director of the Division of General OB/GYN at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, who was surrounded by doctors since she was young, always knew she wanted to be a physician. Being a woman in medicine has had its challenges, but for Ayers, challenge breeds opportunity for change.
