bhadeshia123 | Processing strategies for hot-rolled medium-manganese steels, by Professor Adam Grajcar @bhadeshia123 | Uploaded July 2021 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
A talk by Professor Adam Grajcar, Silesian University of Technology, Poland, as a part of the "Modern Steel Development and Modelling" meeting, 2021. Video recording courtesy of Dipl.-Ing. Deformation behaviour and microstructure evolution were investigated during a production process of medium-Mn steels. Good results are achieved for the 5Mn steel subjected to intercritical annealing following hot-rolling simulation. Thin-lath ferritic-austenitic microstructure is obtained with about 35% of retained austenite.
