Having difficulties trying to get a nice even look spraying a flat, matte or satin automotive paint on a hood or large flat panel? This video may help. Important information, tools, materials and Lakeside Merch below:
💥 First Try - Hot Rod Flatz Urethane Single Stage Paint from TCP Global - using their activator
💥 Second Try - Autobahn Matte Clear Coat quart kit w/ Autobahn Black Base Coat
💥 Mix Ratio for both trials 4 paint : 1 activator : 1 reducer (NASON Reducer 441-21)
💥 Thermal Camera to Check Temp of Panel youtube.com/watch?v=5DS_BfHKUZ4 Only necessary if painting when it is super cold outside - it was 6 degrees out when spraying this panel in a heated garage (70 degrees) but the metal still seemed cold on the first try. Second try I made sure the panel and paint was up to temp using the thermal gun.
