Today I'm doing a full mix/production deconstruction of the song "Polaris" by Remedy Drive (recorded as part of the Samply Sessions). This tune was recorded live, in one take, in one room, and was the first session I tracked in my newly remodeled home studio.
We are going to dive head first into how to EQ and treat vocals recorded live in the same room as drums, how to mix a drum kit, how to mix bass guitar so it cuts through on a phone, and everything that went into this entire mix.
