Completion notes for my own reference in the future:
I had 81% before 3500 attempts. I was playing on a laptop (165hz) using the up arrow on its membrane keyboard, which felt good to play on even if it made me really inconsistent at the 22% and 35% waves in particular. I got 91% with this setup until my laptop's motherboard got fried due to an electrical issue, totaling the computer.
The last time I was able to turn that computer on, I was able to save my GD files and the documentation for a GD platformer mode game engine I have been working on for the past 9 months. Everything else was backed up or not important. This was very lucky, although all the other components in that computer are in working order, including the hard drive.
At this point I needed to wait a week before I could have access to a computer I could play on. I needed to relearn the level on my mouse. I probably should've been using it the whole time, because after switching to the g502 I went from dying in practice to the last 15% most attempts to passing it most attempts. Relearning the level only took an hour. On my second session I was able to beat it, less than 10 minutes after getting 92%, my worst fail.
