My first evening walk of the year and I drove up the M5 to Portbury, just south of Avonmouth. My aim was to explore Prior's Wood - regarded as one of the best places to find bluebells (at this time of year) in the whole of the south-west.

It's a 5.5 mile circular walk (link below) that I'd done on my own before. Following a few hundred metres of the Gordano Round footpath in North Somerset.
