Mr. Otter Art Studio | Printing and Selling a Children’s Book (My experience with Blurb) @MrOtterArtStudio | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated 5 days ago
I finally printed my first copy of my book, The Best Bad Dog! I love how it turned out, however I learned a lesson about cost. I chose to print using Blurb since I have used it before and they will print on demand with amazon.

Lessons learned
It was EXPENSIVE
It ended up costing close to $60 to print and ship it to me
I would have to sell it for close to $60 on amazon to make a profit

The quality was an issue, as the spine was bent, however, I am sure I can get one that isn’t damaged by contacting customer support.

I would print a book with blurb that was a gift for someone but not one that I am trying to sell.

Next Steps
Find a place where I can print around 200 for less than $6-$8 each.
Fix any issues with illustrations I noticed after printing
Create text pages
Print 200 copies and sell them

Any summer art tutorial requests? Send them my way
