Primary Progressive MS (PPMS) is characterised by worsening neurological function or the constant accumulation of disability right from the onset of the disease, without periods of relapses or remissions. Approximately 10 to 15 percent of people with MS are diagnosed with PPMS.

MS Research Australia is the largest not-for-profit organisation dedicated to funding, coordinating, educating and advocating for MS research as part of the worldwide effort to solve MS.
