In this video I demonstrate how special moves differ between Primal Rage Version 2.3 and Version 2.3J, in this demonstration I use Vertigo to showcase how moves are performed in Version 2.3 using the hold multiple button method, while in Version 2.3J I show both the new way and the remaining old way of performing the moves.
For some reason Version 2.3J removed some of the old moves, but kept a lot of them still intact, with Vertigo the removed moves for the old way are her Scorpion Sting and her eat a human move. I can understand the eat the human move being removed, since Version 2.3J added a universal eat human move for all characters, but why remove moves that don't get in the way of other newer moves, such as Vertigo's Scorpion Sting?
This video also acts as proof that the console versions of MAT2 does in fact use the Version 2.3J specials instead of the standard Version 2.3 ones. For some reason the PC version of MAT2 found in Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe uses the Version 2.3 specials and not the Version 2.3J ones like the console versions.
