Happy New Year's! While at @rvmaxus in Greenville, SC last week, I was asked to install the new house batteries on the 40 foot 2002 Country Coach Prevost XL2 motorcoach I inspected a few months earlier. While Country Coach did make the house batteries fairly easy to replace, I did run into a few unforeseen issues and had to improvise. The renogy 200ah AGM replacement batteries were very close to the same size but not quite, so I did need to find a way to keep them from moving and also not cause additional issues. I think the vinyl stair railing worked surprisingly well, even though I would have preferred black vinyl which was not available. I cannot say the end results were perfect, I am pleased the batteries are safe. However, I did find the chassis over charging the house batteries which may be why the batteries went bad, though I did not see signs of overheating or swelling on the old batteries. Hope everyone understands that safety is paramount when replacing a large battery bank and to always be vigilant.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
