Whether your path leads to the stage, the classroom, the studio, the conductor’s podium, or the music industry, the School of Music offers an environment where you can develop both as a musician and as an individual. Students study alongside accomplished performers, educators, and scholars while gaining hands-on experience through private lessons, ensembles, research, and mentorship opportunities.
With more than 30 ensembles, over 200 music events each year, competitive scholarships, and nationally accredited programs, MTSU gives students countless ways to perform, create, and connect. As a designated All-Steinway School and home to a vibrant living-learning community in Monohan Hall, the School of Music provides the tools, experiences, and support to help students thrive.
The community built here extends far beyond graduation. MTSU music alumni perform professionally, teach across the country, work throughout the music industry, and continue shaping musical communities around the world.
