This is one of the intermissions entitled Ghosthacked, from my upcoming EP, "Homesick."
A lot of you know whats been going on in my personal life over the last year and a half. A lot of times when I write, my songs come from a generally excited, or optimistic inspiration. This one is a little different. As the EP's visual concept is an astronaut who has had their tether cut and is floating through space, most of the songs are meant to represent some emotion or thought about my life within that metaphor. By using some edited, albeit nearly spot on quotes from 1995's Ghost in the shell, This intermission was meant to represent the confusion that some of the traumatic events in my life caused. That concept of learning the truth, yet being near unwilling to accept, as highlighted by the GITS monologue.
