Sheridan Gorman was 18 years old.

A freshman at Loyola University Chicago, she went to see the northern lights over Lake Michigan with friends and never came home.

Her death was not an unavoidable tragedy. It was a preventable one.

On September 8, Preventable Tragedy will tell Sheridan's story through the voices of the family and loved ones who continue to fight to make sure no other family experiences the same loss.
