In the 1986 John Hughes movie, Pretty In Pink, the main character, Andie (Molly Ringwald) ends up with Blane (Andrew McCarthy). But that wasn’t the original ending.
Some people are still “team Duckie,” saying she should have ended up with her best friend (Jon Cryer). But, given the rich/poor theme of the movie that ending would have made no sense.
