Hey guys! So the first new episode for the series in 2 years, aye? And it’s another point fiver, go figure. In all honesty I am really not helping my case of “INANO IS NOT GONNA DIE IN EPISODE 12” because this whole episode feels like a death flag 😭
Bonus facts for this episode!
- Yuki was in fact actually eating in that one scene. However, I didn’t have any extremely burnt cookies so I was eating a Twix bar instead. It’s a cookie bar so it counts, right?
- My tactic to make my voice sound shaky and sad for when a character is teary eyed is to sing Fireworks by Mitski, so I did that before recording Inano’s line at 9:24. Fitting since he sings Washing Machine Heart earlier in the episode, I guess he just likes Mitski. Sad gay boy.
- Speaking of singing, I was going to sing the outro song but I got too insecure about it. Maybe I’ll cover it some other time.
I’m not entirely sure if I’ll put this episode in the mainline series playlist by virtue of the fact that I don’t know if a first-time viewer should see when going in blind. However I do think it should be watched before the finale cuz some information is necessary to know, I dunno. This episode just adds more context to stuff I think.
I feel like this episode will raise a lot of questions and that’s what I want. Some stuff is easy to interpret because it’s practically directly told to you. Other things won’t be like that and I won’t be answering thise things directly any time soon, because I want this episode to be ruminated on up to the finale.
This one really came from the heart, it’s a lot more personal than this series usually gets. No details shared about why or how, I’ve felt the feelings the subjects of this episode have. Arguably every PGNS character carries a different piece of me. Hard times inspire me to make new things.
