“You’re still as beautiful as the night I lost you…”
Hey guys, welcome back to the FOURTH time I ended up having 7 months between episodes. It really wasn’t gonna be that long, I was making it through this episode SUPER smoothly and was only going to take 4 months. Then school came back around and ate my ass so hard I couldn’t work on the show for a while. Plus I got a new obsession with a different story of mine for a while. Same-old, same-old. Classic pattern of mine. I’ve learned you guys are patient, though.
Anyhoo, Woah-Ho-Ho, looks like we got another long episode. I’m feeding you guys well. It’s actually so perfect to me that both episode 11 and 11.5 are almost the exact same length. It’s pretty cool. Truth be told, I almost didn’t make this episode. However, I just feel like if I cut straight to the finale, Sobashi’s grief would be EXTREMELY underdeveloped and unexplored. And that would just be super lame considering Batchi, her GIRLFRIEND, DYING, was the catalyst for the turn this series took. I knew I should probably just do it, because it would benefit the story more.
Glad I did, it’s super gorgeous in spite of being so simple artistically. It’s really interesting to me that I depicted in both episode 11’s complex subject matter that I haven’t actually directly experienced (that being abusive relationships and grief). I’ve witnessed them both secondhand, but never directly. I’m still not entirely sure how good of a job I did, but I try my best to handle these intense discussions with care.

Once again, gotta reiterate this, thank y’all so much for supporting this show. You guys let me post about depressed cat girls on the internet and do sumn I’m passionate about: animation, and telling complex stories. I’ll always be grateful to the fanime community for being the individuals who encouraged me to continue this series when I felt like calling it quits on it. We wouldn’t be here, nearly done with the show, without them. Speaking of which,
