Here's how to make a simple, but quite entertaining crochet leaf edging for your blanket.

This is the last video in a series of five, in which I show you how to create two types of matching granny squares, seam them up, add a backing, and add an edging to a flowery baby blanket.
Use the same color you used for the leaves to make a contrasting border that shows off the blanket, or use the color from the background to add some interest to the edge, which might seem a bit plain without a cute, playful edge.
I created this pattern to match with the leaves in the peony squares and to provide interest for little baby hands that will play with the edge of this blanket.

This tutorial will show you how to begin and bind off a simple, but very elegant rounded triangle Tunisian crochet shawl, the Phyllite shawl. The pattern is beginner-friendly and a perfect introduction in the world of Tunisian crochet on hooks with cables.
You will need about 300 grams or 600 meters of DK weight or size 3 yarn, a 7 or 8 mm Tunisian crochet hook with a cable (anything above 45 cm or 18 inches should work), a stitch marker, scissors and tapestry needle for weaving in ends. The finished shawl measures about 2 meters or 78 inches in length and about 60 cm or 24 inches in depth.
