"Pressure Point" is a satirical documentary series exploring British Columbia’s environmental issues through fictional interviews with politicians and senior bureaucrats.
Who would have thought politicians could be funny? I might be the exception, but I sometimes find the excuses they come up with quite amusing. My first chuckle came after I read about Two-Fish Stan and the outlandish claim that only two farmed fish ever escape from fish farms on BC's coast, despite plenty of evidence that the number was closer to hundreds of thousands. So one day, while I was stuck at an airport, I wrote a series of fictional interviews between a political talk show journalist and various politicians or senior bureaucrats to explore some of British Columbia's environmental issues in a funny way. I hope they are both enlightening and entertaining. — Scott Renyard
