Press Start covers a genuinely diverse spectrum of styles: forward-thinking and intelligent electronic music, enveloping traditional routes as far back as Ancient Greece (such as his use of the Lyre), as well as influences which can be found in jazz, most prominently in the eye-watering keys solos peppered throughout the EP.
About The Laszlo Project:
Aaron “The Laszlo Project” Wheeler is an example of one of the unsung entrepreneurial heroes of the music industry. Preferring to stay out of the limelight of recorded music, Wheeler’s is a shining example of some of the less well-publicised means of making a healthy living creating music.
A veteran composer of over 750 tracks for library and media music for clients - including Abbey Road, Universal, Sony and many others – it’s likely you will have heard Wheeler’s work without realising. Working on this side of the business means that many people will have inadvertently heard Wheeler’s work with the Champions League, Channel 4, ITV, Apple and Dell just some of the companies he’s created music for.
His other project, The Lydian Collective, released their first album in 2018 and was used as a means to play his compositions live, and he has recently released a stunning 85-piece orchestral version of “Press Start”.
