Students in the turfgrass science and management program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, go on to be world-class professionals. In fact, these students have a 100 percent job placement rate and receive employment offers from around the globe.
Using real-world applications and current research examples, our faculty prepare turfgrass students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their careers. The strength of the program helps students land impressive internships with organizations including the Philadelphia Eagles and the English Premier League.
“Tennessee has been a great partner with us,” says Tony Leonard, vice president of grounds for the Eagles. “They’ve always sent us good students. They always come well educated, with a very good background, and when they come in we’re able to set them out and hit the ground running.”
