Unseasonable weather set back our second crop of corn, but with Big Horse, we can afford one bad season. All the same, it is time to flip the corn patch, and set it up for winter with a cover crop of landrace winter white wheat, daikon radish, sugar beet, and buckwheat. The ducks aid us with chasing down stray seeds and bugs, and Jason uses the broadfork to prepare a seed bed in record time. While we wait for seeds to germinate, take a brief tour of the garden, and see what else is growing (and going on) in and among the trees.
