Williamsport Area High School's general education Career and Technical Education program is designed for students who aspire to become educators, providing a comprehensive foundation in teaching and learning before they graduate.
Students progress through coursework including Introduction to the Teaching Profession, Methods in Education, Developmental Psychology, Neuroscience in Education, Introduction to Exceptionalities, Educational Technology, Ethics in Education and Peer Leadership, building knowledge of instructional strategies, child development, inclusive practices and classroom leadership. The program culminates in a Capstone Field Experience and Practicum, where students apply their learning in real classroom settings under the guidance of professional educators.
