Prednisone is prescribed to help prevent rejection of a transplanted organ after surgery.

Guidelines for use:
Dose may be once or twice a day; if once, take every morning.
Never miss a dose, unless otherwise instructed.
Take with or without food.
May take before or after blood work.
Tablets may be cut in half.
As your prescribed dose changes, write down new instructions as they are given to you.
