What happens if there's some sort of financial collapse that means your savings and pension are wiped out? The commons is all about building a community-owned economy that can provide the essentials of life (including pension) whilst reducing our reliance on the money economy / finance sector, and moving towards not needing it at all. This includes self-provisioning, as well as bringing essential sectors such as land, energy and food into common ownership. But how likely is financial collapse?
