This video covers how I prepare new brass for long range precision rifles. The first step in my load development is starting with quality brass and getting it ready for its first loading. This brass is for the new barrel that we just put in our Ruger Precision Rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.
I cover topics such as weight-sorting brass, inspecting for flaws, expanding necks to remove dents, and checking for acceptable neck thickness variation. Option steps such as flash hole deburring, neck turning, and primer pocket uniforming are also discussed.
