This was a trial run of the thanksgiving poker run which will be November 23. Got 6 checkpoints with the 7th being back at camp. Was pretty happy with it. There’s a hard way and a less hard way to each cp with cp 5 and 7 a gimmie Rode at a 60% race pace effort. Was about 5hrs of ride time and an hour at lunch at cp 5.
Loop 1 was 36 miles and loop to was 30 miles. I think a 8:30am start time is perfect for the poker day on November 23. The ride is open to anyone. Expect a full day of riding and it’s going to make you work for the checkpoints. It’s not a race. It’s just a ride.
