The Public Regulation Commission is taking six hours of public comment today on private equity firm Blackstone’s proposed acquisition of PNM’s parent company. Comments were somewhat mixed, but weighed heavily against the merger. As Zephyr Jaramillo (Isleta, San Felipe) of YUCCA addressed the commission, several audience members stood and echoed their opposition and questions about the hearing taking place at all amid a pause in the acquisition process.⁠
