What do you do when you feel lost?
In Luke 15, Jesus tells the story of a shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to search for the one that wandered away. Surrounded by religious leaders and people who felt far from God, Jesus reveals the heart of the Father. He’s not waiting to shame the lost, He’s pursuing them with mercy, patience and love.
Being found by Jesus isn’t about pretending we’ve never wandered or trying to earn our way back to God. It’s about recognizing our need for a Savior, changing the way we think and trusting the Good Shepherd who carries us home with joy. When we see God as the Shepherd who is for us, we discover that His goodness and mercy have been following us all along.
